Earthplace, the Nature Discovery Center in Westport has
one of the largest wildlife rehabilitation programs in the state, which
takes in hundreds of injured wild animals every year with the goal of
restoring them to health and releasing them back to the wild. Over
thirty domestic and non-releasable wild animals reside in the Earthplace
teaching collection where they act as species ambassadors giving
visitors the opportunity to view these magnificent creatures "up-close
and personal".
The Wildlife Rehabilitation Program and the Animal Hall
help to produce life-long animal lovers. It is this commitment to animal
welfare and appreciation that we wish to celebrate with our 2nd Annual
Walk for Wildlife on Sunday September 26.

For information, contact Linda Roberts, Director of
Animal Care, at 203-227-7253, ext. 115.
