The kick-off event of the Green Earth Fair at Earthplace was presented by Paul Piorek, the morning meteorologist for Cablevision Channel 12.  Paul talked about different kinds of weather and their effects.  The children were eager to help with the many experiments, including making snow, demonstrating air pressure and static electricity, seeing how fog behaves in warm air, making a hot air balloon rise and seeing the effects of wind.
