The Green Earth Gala kicked off the activities of the weekend's Green Earth Fair.  The evening's highlight occurred as Earthplace Executive Director John Horkel and Chairman Rob Chasin accepted the deed to the 22.14 acre Partrick wetlands from Partrick Wetlands Preservation Fund co-directors Matthew Mandell and Sean Timmons and Fund member Arthur Cohen.  The Partrick Wetlands Preservation Fund received the land from ARS Partners as part of a settlement over development of the property located between Newtown Turnpike and Partrick Road in Westport. 

The evening was a relaxed event with delicious hors d'oeuvres and dinner provided by Collyer Catering, drinks provided by Castle Wine & Spirits of Westport and Steaz Soda, and wonderful rock and blues music by Fade to Blue.
