Chuck Anicelli from the Connecticut Herpetological League was the guest presenter for this fun event all about snakes, turtles, frogs, salamanders, lizards and other reptiles and amphibians. Chuck brought part of his own collection, including an African skink, corn snake, albino corn snake and Pueblan milk snake. He also brought some temporary local visitors: two garter snakes, a black rat snake, a marbled salamander, two spotted salamanders, two box turtles, a spotted turtle and a painted turtle, all found in Connecticut. There were many displays and crafts about reptiles and amphibians. Naturalist Jim Hunter led a walk to look for frogs and salamanders, and he brought out Jabba the American toad for a look at how frogs and toads eat. Guests enjoyed trying out all the fun new activities in Natureplace.
