April Vacation Days

The children had fun learning about birds and insects during these activity days. On Wednesday and Thursday, guest puppeteers Lauren Beth (LB) Stein and Steve Richardson from Waking Dream Puppets helped the kids create praying mantis and dragonfly costumes that are to be used at the Earth Festival at Earthplace on Saturday April 29. The kids had fun learning about the parts of insects, and they helped Steve Richardson brainstorm ways to create a giant praying mantis that he will wear during the Festival's puppet parade.
On Friday guest musician Dennis Waring performed for the children using his collection of handmade musical instruments. The children also created their own musical instruments from recycled materials.
