Summer Camp
2004
The 4th-6th grade Ecology Adventurers had a great first session learning about insects. They enjoyed going on field trips to the Mianus River Gorge, the Saugatuck Reservoir and the Bronx Zoo, creating paper maché insects, capturing and mounting insect specimens, and "camping" overnight inside the Earthplace museum building.
The 7th-9th grade Nature
Trekkers explored different coastal plains in Connecticut
and then traveled to the New Jersey Pine Barrens, Cape May Bird Observatory, and
Assateague/Chincoteague National Wildlife Reserve in Virginia.
