The Fairfield County Horticultural Society hosted its annual Flower & Harvest Show at Earthplace. Prizes were awarded in many categories for various vegetables, fruits, plants and arrangements. Sally Maraventano of Cucina Casalinga, prominent chef and author from Wilton, gave a cooking demonstration and talked about the importance of fresh herbs and vegetables to Italian cooks. The Backyard Beekeepers Association also hosted a Beekeeping Jamboree at the show, with live hive displays, honey products to sample, crafts and activities.
