Geraldine Griswold, "The Bat Lady", spoke about bats and their importance to our environment. Jane Hammerslough, author of the forthcoming book "Owl Puke", explained how owls digest their food and led visitors in examining and identifying the bones they uncovered in owl pellets. Junior Staff member Giorgio Tsangaris displayed some of his collection of tarantulas and scorpions. Visitors learned about the gross but great side of many types of creatures, including snakes, toads, cockroaches, and millipedes.
